Bye, Cool Friend!

He was the COOLEST GUY around.

My best recollections of him and his bosom buddy Willy Villareal were afternoons at the shop of Boy Villegas at the LaO’ Center.  There, he was presented with the best and the rarest of Filipino artifacts, all of which he purchased — not for scholarly acquisition, not for the prestige it conferred — but merely for the sheer enjoyment of it all.

He liked to call me “Cousin!” with affection and amusement, even if we were not [ his being the maternal half-brother of my Gonzalez second cousin Ging did not make us cousins  😛 ].  He had the highest regard for his stepfather, Tito Gonzalo.

Bye, Bu.  You were a lot of fun!!!   🙂   🙂   🙂

LL, I was just yankin’ your chain. I knew what you meant.

U know I also had a far-life experience…but it’s only available if you go to the Vatican archives. 🙂 j/k!!

BTW, re your musings on “…love,” you were starting to sound like Nuestra Senora de las Joyas Grandes y Ojos Mas Gigantes, Tita Meldy!! 🙂

We grow older, the elders die and we push onwards to the front lines.

Then our time comes too. We should be prepared for it.

I had a near death accident in1984, a devastating car wreck.I had an out of body experience.

If you wish to read about MY trip to Heaven, befriend me in Face Book, I have written an account of this LIFE altering experience.

Boarding pass simply means WE are prepare to GO ON.

Life is eternal, death only propels us to a higher or lower LIFE. To love, to learn to communicate, to give love to everyone.

Myles, I’m just flippant on the ouside yet seriously spiritual on the inside. Blink. Wink. Nod.

Pray for the dead and the DEAD WILL pray for you.

Didn’t know him but heard of his antique collecting and knowledge.

Just reminds it that our stay in the Mabuhay Lounge of Life is ending, soon we too are bound for the boarding gate.

Question is, DO WE have our boarding passes? I do, got it in 84.
