Are you related at all to the Vicentes of Buguion, San Marcos,Calumpit? They're my first cousins, from the union of Inang Carling (nee Aguilar, my father's younger sister), and Amang Senyong Vicente, my uncle-in-law. Their children, from eldest (or Kaka) to youngest are: Lamber, Sonny (RIP), Linda, Tansing, Benny, Jaime (RIP), Rel, Willie, Rexy, and Vic.
I'm Edgardo Aguilar, born and raised in Quezon City but spent some wonderful summers with my cousins in Bulacan. When its river was still pristine.

Hi. Fr. Chito; Very nice to hear about a former classmate, your aunt. She was my classmate in Grade V at Immaculata Academy of Malolos, where she was an interna. She did not return for Grade VI and we did not know where she disappeared to. I have written a few reminiscences about our class. Maybe she would be interested in reading them, if I can have an E-mail address to contact. Thanks.

The Tagles of Imus is also a family worth mentioning as they are one of the oldest and most prominent families in Imus. The Tagle were the cabeza de barangay of Pueblo Viejo for more than half a century and no retelling of the Battle of Imus will be complete without mentioning the name of José Tagle and the role he played in the opening battle of the Philippine Revolution in Cavite. Later scions of the family include former senator Richard "Dick" Gordon and Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, the Archbishop of Manila. The Tagle were indeed among the landed gentry of Imus, once owning lands throughout the city. It was said that the land where Robinsons Imus stand today were among the lands once owned by the Tagles until it was sold by Don Severino Tagle.

GONZALEZ/GONZALES de Bulak/San Ildefonso, Bulacan

I am Dr. Rey A. Gonzales from Bulak aka San Ildefonso, Bulacan, I am now here at Porter Ranch CA. My grandfather is Manuel Gonzalez (doble-zeta, but when my dad & his siblings were baptized, it was changed to Gonzales, single Zeta by the priest in SIB) He was Presidente Municipal/Mayor of San Ildefonso, 1921-1923. My grandmother is Rafaela Veneracion Violago, originally from Caingin, San Rafael, Bulaca. She is the great grand matriarch of the Violago Clan of Bulacan & Nueva Ecija. The roots of my grandfather, Gonzalez is from Baliuag, Bulacan but his family migrated to San Rafael, Bulacan in 1850s, then he migrated for good to San Ildefonso in 1890s with my grandmother. He died young, in 1926, and we don't know much on our heritage from the Gonzalez side. My grandmother, Doña Rafaela aka Impong Pelang died at the age of 89, in 1963 and during her lifetime, she was very active in the Violago Veneracion Clan and we didn't get to know much of our relatives from Baliuag on the Gonzalez side. What I remember is that my dad when he was still alive used to tell us that we are related to Dr. Joaquin Gonzalez. We inherited the Gonzales Violago Veneracion Century Old house across the Pubic Market of San Ildefonso in Poblacion, the one & only century old house of San Ildefonso which is the sanctuary of our 400 year old Santo Entierro from the Violago Veneracion side.

Best regards,
