All of Old Pampanga Society remembers the extraordinary bearing of former Governor Don Macario Arnedo [ o 1868 - + 1941 ].
In his time, he always led the inner circle of the “Rigodon de Honor” of the “bailes” of the Pampanga aristocracy.
He kept up with fashion, and in the 1920s he employed a dance instructor to teach him the “Tango” and the “Foxtrot”…
He was also not immune to the charms of beautiful and beautifully-endowed ladies. In fact, he liked the “Tango” because it was an opportunity to press closely to the bosom of his partner. *wink*
His favorite dancing partner, expectedly enough, was Dona Tomasa Centeno de Pamintuan, the pretty and generously-endowed second wife of Angeles aristocrat Don Florentino Pamintuan.
She was the grandmother of Beatriz “Patis” Pamintuan-Tesoro.

Now I’m answering my own question. My Dad said that it was the second wife who was the “lavandera” of Don Flor*ntino and she eventually became Dona Masing.

Who was Don Flor*ntino’s “lavandera” wife? The first or the second?
